Force Measurement

The forces acting on models are usually measured by load cells. Those are traverses resorted to bending, provided by strain gages. The gages are connected to bridge circuit and amplifier. With more cells a whole system can be built, which is able to measure more force or momentum components.

There is a 6-component force measurement system built in the horizontal wind tunnel, which can be activated on special demand.
